At its 66th general assembly, held in Moscow, the World Medical Association, an international organisation representing doctors, adopted new guidelines aimed at increasing the knowledge and sensitivity of doctors towards trans people.
They met with members of the European Parliament, the Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner and officials from the Council of Europe.
On 3-5 July, ILGA-Europe and IGLYO (International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Youth and Student Organisation) gathered 18 LGBTQ activists from all over Europe for a capacity building seminar on LGBTQ activism and intersex. The seminar took place in Berlin.

Between 29 November and 1 December 2013, the Third International Intersex Forum, supported by ILGA and ILGA-Europe, took place in Valletta, Malta. This event brought together 34 activists representing 30 intersex organisations from all continents. Read the public statement by the Forum here.
