Marame Kane

Marame Kane (right pronunciation being maRam Kan / pronoun : she/her) is a black french and senegalese lesbian (born and raised in Dakar, Senegal), currently living in Paris, France.

Co-Chair of the LGBTQI Community Center in Paris (France), she manages with the executive board, the team of volunteers and the 80 NGOs that are part of the Center to provide the LGBTQI communities of Paris and its suburbs  caring, guidances, advices, advocacy, health and wellness programs; cultural events; recovery, parenthood and family support services.

Marame hold a MSc in Shipping & Trading, and also a MSc in Insurance Management.

Besides her day-to-day work, she is also an artivist, as she loves to draw in the subway, in bars and during meetings, her favorite topics being feminism, and BIPoC and LGBTQI visibility. She contributes since 2017 to the Revue LGBT-BD, a LGBT comics periodical and is currently working on a new project (ink drawing) about the love life of LGBTQI people from all around the world.
