LGBTI equality and human rights in Europe and Central Asia

Mamikon Hovsepyan

Mamikon holds a degree in sociology, and a master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratization. He specialises in health, human rights, and gender issues. 

He is an LGBT activist and a human rights defender living and working in Armenia. He started his activism in 2002 and founded Pink Armenia in 2007.

Mamikon is elected board member of Non-Discrimination and Equality Coalition in Armenia as well as the president of Human Rights House Yerevan since 2018, which is a member of Human Rights House Network based in Oslo, Norway. He is also involved in several national working group focused on HIV/AIDS response and was elected as the Community, Rights, Gender working group president.
