Paula supports the organisation of ILGA-Europe’s Annual Conference with a particular focus on the development of the programme, the implementation of the scholarship scheme, providing practical assistance to speakers and support towards the implementation of ILGA-Europe’s diversity policy.
Paula holds a B.Sc. in Human Biology and English Linguistics from Aston University in the UK and is currently finishing her M.A. in Women’s and Gender studies from CEU in Hungary and University of Oviedo in Spain. Her thesis deals with Polish LGBT+ migrants living in the UK.
She has worked as an interpreter in the UK and a natural science teacher in Colombia. She has also cofounded the Eastern States of Queer, a group dedicated to bringing the academic concepts from gender and queer studies to a wider audience, as well as the promotion of queer artists from Central and Eastern Europe in West Midlands.
