<p>ILGA-Europe is currently seeking to employ a new <b>Programmes/Policy Officer.</b> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The post holder will be responsible for coordination of capacity building / advocacy projects at regional and pan-European level, organisation of events, and for providing effective policy and research services to support the work of ILGA-Europe and the achievement of the tasks set out in the work programmes and the postholder’s agreed objectives.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Candidates should be strongly committed to working for equality, and have competencies and experience in developing and implementing projects, organising capacity building events and longer term capacity building programmes, developing, presenting and implementing policy papers / proposals, in lobbying and in working with members and external (project) partners.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Other requirements are: </p>
<ul>

<li>A good knowledge of human rights and equality issues, particularly as they relate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people </li>

<li>Experience in managing international projects </li>

<li>A high standard of written and spoken English </li>

</ul>
<p class="MsoNormal">Useful additional experience/knowledge could include:</p>
<ul>

<li>An excellent knowledge of the European institutions, including Council of Europe and the OSCE </li>

<li>Experience of working in an NGO </li>

<li>A working knowledge of Russian or another major East-European language </li>

</ul>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Gross annual salary inclusive of holiday pay</b> : the recruited person will start with a salary of 39,000 euros per annum.
