<p>The European Parliament's Intergroup on Gay and Lesbian Rights launched its new website in a meeting organised during the November Strasbourg session of the European Parliament.</p>

<p>LGBT activists organised an online petition and are demanding that the Faroe Islands ban sexual orientation discrimination and pass a registered partnership law to bring the islands into line with the rest of the Nordic region.</p>

<p>This Toolkit is a response to hostile and violent opposition to the first lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Pride events in some Eastern and Central European countries during last few years. </p>

<p>In this issue we focus on the challenges for young and older LGBT Europeans.</p>
