Resolution of the European Council on the Follow-up of the European Year
On 6 December 2007, the Council of the European Union adopted a resolution in which it acknowledges the existence of discrimination and the need for strengthening equality legislation and mainstreaming of equal opportunities. They Council firmly condemned all forms of homophobia and called for further monitoring and research on this issue in particularly by the EU Fundamental Rights Agency.
