Summary

The project aims at monitoring homophobic speech made by politicians and civil servants between June and August 2006, before the autumn 2006 Parliamentary elections.

A wide range of sources will be monitored (press cuttings, radio and TV recordings, web postings). The collected data will be analyzed and summarized in a report which will be posted on the Mozaika website, distributed to media and presented on the occasion of the Gay Pride.

This will help Mozaika to identify patterns of hate speech and to understand better how this is linked with discrimination on the ground of sexual orientation.
