<p>I have signed the pledge to demonstrate my support for LGBT rights across the European Union. However, I do not necessarily believe that anti-discrimination legislation should be generated at the European level. My home constituency of London is one of the most tolerant and accepting places in the EU if not the world; the LGBT community in the UK enjoys some of the greatest rights and protections in the European Union and I hope that by exchanging best practices we can extend these rights to cover the entire continent.</p>
