<p>The EU was built out of the ashes of hatred and discrimination of World War II. I truly believe in universal human rights and do not fear to speak out when those human rights are violated. I have worked within the EU administration with LGBT rights, worked hard for equal rights, participated at Prides in Warszaw, Riga, Brussels and Stockholm and will continue to until homophobia is history and all europeans are treated with equal respect and enjoy equal rights. </p>
