<p>Being the SCP center left party representative, which has liberal roots, I am happy to see ILGA Europe being active in pronouncing their concerns and coming up with their election pledge. Since Latvia regained its independence liberal reforms have found small inroads also in Latvian society, but there is still some way to go to achieve respect for every citizen's freedom regardless of his race, gender, nationality, and sexual orientation.
