HURIDOCS is providing its expertise on the systematic documentation of human rights violations and hate crimes. MHG is the strategic partner of the Russian LGBT Network and has since 2008 included a chapter on the situation of LGBT people in Russia in its annual report on the Human Rights situation in Russia.

HURIDOCS

Established in 1982, and is a global network of organisations concerned with human rights. HURIDOCS facilitates human rights documentation work by developing tools and techniques for information handling (such as formats for the recording and exchange of information on documents, organisations, and human rights violations); organising training courses and workshops on human rights information handling in co-operation with organisations involved in the network; providing advice and support on the establishment and maintenance of documentation centres and information systems.

Moscow Helsinki Group’s (MHG)

The mission of MHG is to assist human rights observation and democracy development in Russia. Over the past three years MHG has established a partnership with the Network, which involved provision of MHG space for the Network’s press-conferences and round tables, a joint monitoring and documentation project, and participation and support in the development of the Network’s strategy.
