transphobic comment from turkish tv presenter on tragedy for hijras, trans people in India

"On Nov. 20, Trans Remembrance Day, there was a fire at a festival of hijras, some of whom identify as transgender. The festival was in Delhi, India. 16 people were killed and many were injured."

unfortunately, a tv presenter in turkey has commented on this and all she said was that homosexuality is a disease and that parents should get their kids tested for hormones during adolescence and receive hormone treatment if necessary so that they don't end up like some [queer] singers in turkey.
luckily, there has been a big reaction on the social media. she continued her hate speech today on her daily show but then she suddenly dropped the issue and changed the subject. some say she might have been warned by the station.
people also got organized through social media and we have made phone calls to the Higher Council of Radio and Television in turkey (RTUK) and complained about the show (show: "ikbal'le hayatin icinden", tv station: Kanal 7).
