Under Swiss law, there are still hurdles blocking gay couples from adopting children. If we look at what goes on in practice, though, more and more couples actually do. So should the law be changed? This week Christian Democrat president Christophe Darbellay told newspaper Le Temps that he didn’t buy the argument that gay adoption should be legalized since many gay people are already parents. He said by the same logic cocaine use should be legalized since many people take the drug in spite of the law.
