The 2012 New Beginnings LGBT Campaign to establish a LGBT Arts Center in Bucharest

ACT-Q Romania, the LGBT organization for culture & communication, launched The 2012 New Beginnings LGBT Campaign in order to establish a LGBT Arts Center in Bucharest, Romania.
Through the campaign website, http://newbeginnings.act-q.org, LGBT people and allies, companies and funders could donate any amount to support our cause and help us reach our goal: The LGBT Arts Center.
The liberty of a LGBT person in Romania ends with the first step out of his/her house. We have laws, but they are not applied; we have authorities who accuse us of having different mental diseases or that we refuse to take our medication, and so on. We can not remain passive! It is our right and obligation to try and change this reality.
We want to establish a LGBT Arts Center in Bucharest, Romania, where artists can express themselves without any limits, a center where there are no prejudices or discrimination, but just art. Through this Center and its activity we can promote our rights. Today this is still a utopia but, with your help, tomorrow, we can manage to make it a reality. That is why we are asking you to support our cause!
And since every kind gesture like this one must be returned, we’re offering as a Thank You Gift, for free, to all our donors that helped us with more than $30, the 2012 ACT-Q Calendar – New Beginnings, the first Romanian Calendar dedicated to homoerotic arts.
