LGBT History Month Romania
LGBT History Month takes place in Romania in february and comprises a series of cultural events that take place all month. It`s an oportunity to celebrate the lives and culture of LGBT people, through exploring personal histories in an LGBT context.
The aim of the project is to create visibility, to strenghen the comunity and to acknowledge the friendships that people build independent of sexual orientation or gender identity.
In this month we have events such as: contemporary art exhibition, documentary exhibition, community art exhibition, movie screenings, theatre plays, performances, disscutions and debates, workshops, reading circles and parties.
LGBT History Month is organised by ACCEPT Romania in cooperation with LGBT Youth Scotland within Changing Hearts and Minds, Engaging Communities project supported by the European Commission. Besides ACCEPT, Legebitra (Slovenia) and Iniciatíva Inakosť (Slovakia) are part of the project.
