<b>Almost half the people in Poland believe that homosexuals are discriminated against states new research.</b><br />
The study, carried out by the Government’s Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment, showed that 49 percent of Poles believe gay people are not treated as fairly as straight people.<br />
 <br /> Other groups that the public feel face discrimination are the mentally ill (49 percent), those with physical disabilities (43 percent) non-whites (43 percent) and the elderly (33 percent).</p>
