Almost half the people in Poland believe that homosexuals are discriminated against states new research.
The study, carried out by the Government’s Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment, showed that 49 percent of Poles believe gay people are not treated as fairly as straight people.
Other groups that the public feel face discrimination are the mentally ill (49 percent), those with physical disabilities (43 percent) non-whites (43 percent) and the elderly (33 percent).
