<p>The flashmob took place outside the Mayor's office in Chisinau. Maxim Anmeghichean, Programmes Director ILGA-Europe, took part in the peaceful demonstration.</p>

<p>The Mayor had submitted a request to the Chisinau Court to ban GenderDoc-M’s peaceful demonstration planned for 2 May supporting adoption of the anti discrimination law. The Court took a decision on 28 April to ban the event from the main square offering an alternative location far from the city centre (<a href="/../../../../europe/news/for_media/media_releases/ensuring_freedom_of_assembly_for_lgbt_people_in_moldova_and_ukraine" target="_self">look for more details here</a>). </p><p>All of the photos are taken at the Mayor’s office (Municipality), except the one with statue of the two fists – this was at the Monument for the Victims of Persecution monument; the demonstrators went from there to the Municipality office.</p><p>The angry person on the pictures was a random person, but was moved on by the police.</p>
