Anti-violence campaign: "Macedonia has love for all"

13/11/2013
Submitted by Helsinki Committee for Human Rights - LGBTI Support Centre

Due to the necessity for condemnation of violence, awareness-raising and promotion of tolerance, the LGBTI Support Centre and the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia, with the support of Front Line Defenders (FLD), created the radio and internet campaign “Macedonia has love for all”. This campaign is primarily focused on the condemnation of violence and giving support to LGBTI people.

“Macedonia has love for all” consists of two parts. The first part is already ongoing and shows the personal experiences of LGBTI people and their close ones. The second part of the campaign is focused on celebrities which express their support for LGBTI people, and also condemn the violence.

A press-conference was held on the 7th of November 2013, in the EU Info Centre in Skopje, as a promotional event for the campaign, particularly the second part, which was officially launched the following day. Andrea Rocca, Head of Protection in Front Line Defenders, attended the press-conference and expressed his support for the campaign.
