October 21-23, 2011 in Minsk!

We invite you to a very special Swedish-Belarus-Ukrainian rainbow culture and human rights event in Minsk, October 21-23, 20ll – made possible thanks to the support from the Swedish Institute.

This will include discussions, seminars, panel presentations, performances, art and photography and films.

We Swedes are looking forward to meeting all of the Belarus colleagues we have been in contact with during the years for discussions and planning!

We invite all Belarus LGBT and straight journalists and Belarus web site creators to join us in these discussions and cultural happenings – and of course hope you will give us positive coverage!

We are also inviting any interested Belarus human rights organizations to join us, as well as ambassadors and culture attachés from Nordic embassies in Minsk.

We also invite our long-time colleagues at the Swedish Civil Rights Defenders, the Norwegian Humanists Association, the Swedish Humanists, GALHA (gay and lesbian humanists), Thomas Hammarberg of the Council of Europe who actively works in support of LGBT issues, interested Swedish EU parliamentarians, Swedish parliamentarians and Nordic colleagues, Amnesty International, etc. to join us.

Hoping to see you in Minsk,

Bill Schiller, secretary general of the ILGCN (International Lesbian & Gay Cultural Network) and international secretary of Tupilak (Nordic rainbow cultural workers).
