Discrimination in education in the focus of IDAHO in Belarus

GayBelarus is organizing series of educational and social events in commemoration of this year’s IDAHO.

May 12: A round-table discussion on LGBT and education - "The changing role of education in shaping LGBT-phobia and its transformation into a part of the solution, not part of the problem." Participants include Svetlana Burova, Associate Professor of Sociology at BSU and author Tatiana Shchurko.

May 17: A film screening (Italian comedy "Single Shots").

May 17: "The Club 6_A" from 7pm. Discussion moderated by Anastasia Dolyushka, Asnastaia Sinyukovich, Tygryk and Striped.

Gay Belarus has also applied to the Minsk City Executive Committee to stage pickets in various parts of the city. They will also distribute stickers and postcards with information related to the theme "Homosexuality - This is Normal" in Minsk, Vitebsk, Gomel, Brest, Molodechno, and Logoisk.
