I am the co-ordinator of the National lgbt family forum in UK.
We have managed to obtain a 3 year strategic grant from the Department of Education and Skills to enable lgbt family services, who may have previously felt disconnected , to work together and for the first time act as a more integrated network of services.
We recently ( October 2006), had our first meeting in birmingham/ North uk in order to meet various lgbt and family agencies to agree our objectives and present recent lgbt family research that our lgbt family support service at PACE is undertaking.
It would be great to have youth services/ individuals involved who may be interested in our family forum.
Let me know your interest and I can send you details of our forum.
Best wishes
Howard Delmonte Co-ordinator of family support service at PACE.
