<p>Civil Partnerships come to the UK on 21st Dec 2005.  </p><p>LET'S CELEBRATE...Lesbian &amp; Gay people and their lives and their relationships and this very great achievement.  We can be VERY proud.</p><p>I am an English lesbian with a Polish partner and of course the situation in Poland is very severe indeed.  So let us through this celebration of LOVE and of LIFE demonstrate our Solidarnosc (Solidarity) with Polish Lesbian &amp; Gay people not to mention all the other Lesbian &amp; Gay across Europe and the World who cannot live freely and without fear.</p><p>Please take flags and flowers and bottles of champagne.  Dress in rainbow colours (maybe?) and GO TO YOUR NEAREST BRITISH EMBASSY...and CELEBRATE.  Get photos to the media and use the occasion to advance Gay rights in your own country.  You could take a letter to the Ambassador congratulating the UK and sending good wishes to all the new Civil Partnerships being celebrated on that day and after. You could do a countdown on the night of 20/21st like New Year or first thing in the morning as the first Civil Partnerships take place or int he evening of 21st so that most people can come.</p><p>Just imagine if this were to happen across Europe..or even further?  A wave of Lesbian &amp; Gay Solidarity across Europe...</p>
