<p>GayFest 2011</p><p>Gay FEST is the expression of the LGBT person’s movement for civil rights, an event that combines political activism with cultural activism. At the same time is a proactive action which has the goal to raise awareness on the rights of the LGBT persons.</p><p>Gay Fest is a cultural event, a moment of affirmation of the LGBT culture, a well defined occasion that demonstrates through theater, movies and photos the values of the LGBT persons. At the same time it demonstrates that the LGBT persons live, work, love and face same difficulties as heterosexuals. Also the LGBT persons, often, are facing unfair acts of discrimination.</p><p>Gay FEST is an initiative first of all addressed to the LGBT persons but at the same time, each year, the event is attended by numerous heterosexuals’ persons who believe in our rights and wishes to show their adhesion for the LGBT cause.</p><p>In 2011, GayFest meant film screenings, debates, concerts, contemporary art, living library, an opera concert and many more. The 2011 event ended with the <i>Diversity March </i>at which 320 persons participated.</p><p>More info on www.gay-fest.ro.</p>
