Arraial Pride is a free party open to all people, no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity, that see themselves as a part of a more democratic and non-discriminating Portugal. Arraial Pride has been, since its start in 1997, the biggest and most nationwide participated lesbian, gay, bissexual and transgender (LGBT) event. This initiative, which is integrated in the Festas de Lisboa program, gets support from the local administration and mobilizes society. It includes the participation of LGBT associations and collective groups as well as humanitarian and social interest institutions and LGBT shops or LGBT friendly establishments (bars, pubs, restaurants). The tents promoted by these entities will be placed all around the party space with several tasks: *Serve food, drink and other amusements with the purpose of keeping everyone cheerful and entertained, *Getting everyone to know all the participating associations and collective groups as well as their activities through the distribution of information flyers. In the end this is nothing more than an open mind night with no homophoby, open to everyone that wants to come, in the heart of a Lisbon free of prejudices and willingly to integrate and respect all kinds of people and recognizing their rights and full citizenship <p>
