Rainbow Days 2007: Vilnius to host first gay pride event

Lithuanian Gay League is organising a week of events to commemorate the International Day against Homophobia. It will include a first ever public LGBT action in the centre of Lithuanian capital city - the participants of this event will display a rainbow flag, which will measure 30 meters in length and will be the longest and biggest rainbow flag in Lithuania. This public act will seek to highlight the importance of solidarity, communal spirit and support.

We invite you to join the “Rainbow days 2007” and participate in the action “We Are for All Colours of Life”, which will be happening on 25th of May 15:00 in Savivaldybes square in Vilnius. Together we can bring in the substantial contribution in combating homophobia, actively support goals of the Year of Equal Opportunities for All, and express respect and recognition for the diversity and equality of all human beings.
