Museo Arti e Mestieri di un Tempo

The “Museo Arti e Mestieri di un Tempo” Association organizes the meeting “Even gays go to paradise?” with the presence of Prof. Gianni Vattimo and of Don Ermes Segatti, driven by the journalist Orlando Perera.
It hosts a photo gallery as well, care of Paolo Ciaberta, about Gay Pride in Turin and in Madrid.
Later on banquet (booking is kindly recommended) and then theatrical exhibition of Teatro della Caduta titled “Tutti quelli che cadono”.
After 30 years, italian catholic Church and civil society come back to face again on ethical and political issues. On one hand the campaign against ethero/omosexual unions, the defense of traditional family and reproductive sexuality as unique possible model. On the other hand the requests for other forms of family, changing in terms of cultural and sexual practices.
In the meantime, one year ago, just in the location of Gay Pride, the church of Turin run the project of mediation between Church and gay community.
Cisterna d’Asti owns in the medieval castle a patrimony of objects, datable between 1600 and 1900, that dealed with the occupations and the stories of rural life. They preserve the memory of ancient works of men. Moreover they witness the troubles of the hands that handled, the hammer echoes that beated and the strokes of nails that pierced wood.
This collection still wants to talk about men, their body and their soul. A spectacular frame as the belvedere on the hills all around. A friendly atmosphere. The chance to listen to illustrious speakers arguing on sexuality and divine will, modern social status and secular religious magister.
