GRUNE ROSE: A SHORT AND AN EXIBITION TO REMEMBER THE EXTERMINATION OF THE HOMOSEXUALS IN THE DEATH CAMPS
The movie, co-produced by Visions Milan and Arcigay Florence "Il Giglio Rosa", at its international première in the Tuscan county seat on January 27th, on the occasion of the World Day of the Memory. An unprecedented event: an extraordinary homage to Richard Grüne, artist and witness of the extermination of the homosexuals under the Nazism. At the same time the photographic exibition will be open "Grune Rose - on the movie set", of Roberto Malini and Steed Gamero. It deals with blunt and touching pictures, real phases of that tragedy that Richard Grune defined "Passion of the XX century." The initiative has already been enterprised by the Tuscany Region and by the Florence Province, by the town halls of Florence and Scandicci and by two international museums of the holocaust GLBT: the GLBT Historical Society of San Francisco and the Mémorial de la Déportation Homosexuelle de Paris

Directed by Dario Picciau, subject and screen-play by Roberto Malini, performed by Libero Stelluti, Angelo Cirfiera, Massimo Muntoni, Enzo Maria Cilento, Emanuele Cirfiera, Paolo Riva, Francesco Caci and Giovanni Cirfiera. is the short that tells about the memory of the holocaust of the "pink triangles", the homosexuals' extermination under the Nazi regime. The scenes of the film are inspired to the lithographies of Richard Grüne (1903-1983), German homosexual artist arrested and imprisoned by the SS (1936), then deported in the lagers of Sachsenhausen (1937-1940) and Flossenburg (1940-1945). Nine years to the hell, a martyrdom Grune survived on for handing down us his human and artistic proof. The film, co-produced by Visions and Arcigay Firenze, is the tragic allegory of a prejudice that today still exists and that to half of last century turned into persecution, torture and extermination
On January 26th, in via Leone n° 60, inFlorence, the vernissage of the photographic exibition - Grüne Rose On the movie set - by Steed Gamero and Roberto Malini, will take place, in presence of the authors, of the director Dario Picciau and of the protagonist Libero Stelluti, that will show the realization phases of the short to the audience and the Press and they will develop an artistic and historical-cultural considerations on the Holocaust (Holocaust of the Homosexuals)
Saturday January 27th, starting at 8.45 pm, at the Altana (ex convent of the Leopoldine nuns) in Piazza Tasso n° 1, Florence, the international première of the film, in presence, as well as the the cast, of institutional delegation of the GLBT community.
