The philosopher Gianni Vattimo, the new deputy Vladimir Luxuria, the journalists and writers Concita De Gregorio, Monica Maggi and Delia Vaccarello and the sociologist Maria Grazia Giannichedda will open the project “Queer too Queer” on Saturday, May 20 th , at the Gallery A+A, with video installations and screenings of short films dedicated to the “Love Grammars” . “Queer too queer” [literally “different, too different”] is a project promoted by the Cultures of the Differences Dept. of the Municipality of Venice and by the cultural association “Patagonia Art”.

It's a cultural urban lab which is going to produce a series of events all year long, where videos, installations, exhibtions and performances all consacrated to gay, lesbian and transgender sensibility will be presented. The protagonists of this workshop will be the young artists of the city and students from the Fine Arts Academy and from Venice University, who will work as a real creative, mobile and open crew.
“Queer too queer” wants to offer a public poetic consideration on the many declensions of love. Love meant as an embedding of bodies and symbols, as bumpy ground and a weave of open questions.
For this reason, the first event of the workshop is all dedicated to the “Grammars of Love”, which spell individual and social identities, prejudices and freedom. All this will be observed, manipulated and deconstructed through the gay, lesbian and transgender creativity.

Saturday, May 20th, at the Galleria A+A from 6h00 pm, 37 short films and videos will be presented. They come from precinema and videoart, experimentations and late 19 th - first 20 th century rare films, lent and selected by the Archivio Carlo Montanaro. Also some videos by great contemporary artists like Pipilotti Rist and Chris Cunningham will be screened. It will be a pictures story through the many declensions of love. In the Gallery A+A there will also be a design artwork by Laurence Humier, internationally renown Belgian artist.
