Yesterday the German ministry of cooperation published a press release anouncing the freezing of budget support for Malawi. Minister Niebel said that this step was motivated by Malawi's decision to criminalize same sex relationship between women and to intensify control of local media. Both decisions were taken last November by Malawi's Parliament.
