Anti-discrimination
Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity is prohibited in the areas of employment, and provision of goods and services.
Legal gender recognition of trans people
Croatia has administrative procedures to obtain legal gender recognition - however only after compulsory sterilisation and compulsory divorce.
Partnership recognition
In Croatia cohabiting same-sex couples enjoy a set of limited rights.
Parenting rights
Neither joint nor second parent adoption is available to same-sex couples in Croatia.
Criminal law on hate speech/crime
Sexual orientation is included in the law on hate and violence, and is recognised as aggravating factor.
Freedom of assembly/Pride events
Pride events have taken place with authorisation.

The age of consent is equal for all sexual acts.
