Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly condemns discrimination and violence against LGBT people in Bosnia

The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly has condemned discrimination and violence against LGBT people in Bosnia, as part of a Resolution on the Honouring of obligations and commitments by Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In paragrapah 11.7 of its Resolution it: "condemns the discrimination and volence against lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender people and the recent attack against organizers and participants of the Sarajevo Queer Festival and journalists".

And in pargraph 11.8.10 of its Resolution it calls upon the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to: "condemn discrimination and violence against lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender people and others promoting their rights and ensure their protection; and promptly and thoroughly investigate any attacks against them and bring those responsible to justice".
