<p>
IGLYO are in the process of applying for funding to host a women's conference in the second half of 2011. This conference will explore specific issues for lesbian, biseuxal and transgener women within the field of equalities and youth. It is expected that a variety of themes will be addressed, these may include:<br /> </p>
<ul>

<li>Violence Against Women</li>

<li>Discrimination and equality in the Workplace</li>

<li>Family Issues</li>

<li> Representation and Visibility </li>

</ul>
<p>The partner organisation must:</p>
<ul>

<li>have a strong interest and expertise in LBT and/or women's equality work</li>

<li>experience and success hosting confernece (either local, national or international)</li>

<li>experience of working in a non-formal way</li>

<li> experience of work with youth (under 30 years old)</li>

<li>have knowledge of LGBT equality issues.</li>

<li>be able to provide €5000 of funding, either in kind or in cash</li>

<li>be located within the Council of Europe states</li>

<li>have knowledge of IGLYO's work (desirable, not essential)</li>

</ul>
<p>The partner organisation must provide: </p>
<ul>

<li>Venue for the 4-6 day conference</li>

<li>Accommodation for 15-25 participants</li>

<li>Food and refreshments for 15 - 25 participants</li>

<li>Staff or volunteer resources to be part of the steering team and events team (around 5 hours per week)</li>

</ul>
<p>IGLYO will provide:</p>
<ul>

<li> Funding to support 15-25 participants to attend the conference</li>

<li>Funding to support the prep-team to meet prior to the conference</li>

<li>Resources to support the conference, including staff and volunteers</li>

</ul>
<p><b>There is a short deadline for this funding, therefore please send a note of interest by the 22nd September to <a href="mailto:esther@iglyo.com" target="_blank">esther@iglyo.com</a>, a decision will be made by the 24th September and successful applicants will be notified in due course.</b></p>
