Louise Ashworth

Louise has a Law degree and Masters degree in Women’s Studies. She has worked in the voluntary sector, education and local government sectors. She has worked as a housing law practitioner for the past four years and is now a Training Officer. This includes providing training on anti-discrimination and housing.Louise has been a member of UNISON’s LGBT Committee for nine years and has served as co-chair. Throughout this time she has been actively involved in UNISON’s International work. She is also engaged in the wider trade union movement, women’s activism and is a disability rights activist. She is International Officer for LGBT Labour and a Rainbow Rose delegate.Louise is involved in local community initiatives and is an advisor to the police force on lgbt issues.
