Funding opportunity

This call for proposals will support initiatives by NGOs and associations and federations of European interest participating in European dialogue, where these initiatives focus on specific themes of the programme to promote active European citizenship.

As far as NGOs are concerned, these thematic areas notably include building on the impact of EU policies on the daily lives of citizens and encouraging the implementation of European projects favouring specifically pluralism, tolerance, respect for diversity, non-discrimination and solidarity, especially towards disadvantaged groups.

The total amount of the budget earmarked for cofunding projects submitted by NGOs is approximately EUR 2.63 million. All project proposals must include a request for funding of between EUR 35000 and EUR 70000. The contribution from the Commission cannot exceed 60% of the total eligible project costs.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 30 November 2005.
