The Porto Pride Party is carried out with the support of LGBTTI establishments of Oporto that close doors and move their staff to the venue. On the other hand several LGBTTI associations support the promotion of the event. The Porto Pride is also a place of promotion of the activities of diverse entities and a significant part of the revenue reverts in favor of institutions of social solidarity or support to HIV+ (Porto Pride has donated more than 20'000 Euros to the Joaquim Urbano Hospital from 2001 till 2008, revenue from 2009 and 2010 will be donated to SOL association - that takes care of HIV affected children).
