Poland's state prosecutor's office has issued a letter to all prosecutors in the
country to examine the sources of financing of gay organizations and their alleged
connections with the underworld, including pedophile groups and drug dealers. The
order is a result of a recent letter sent by the far-right League of Polish Families
(LPR) MP Wojciech Wierzejski to the Interior Ministry requesting the authorities to
check the level of influence of gay activists on school students. Additionally,
Wierzejski suggested that homosexuals and left-wing parties had organized recent
marches of protest against the new Minister of Education, leader of LPR Roman
Giertych. [Rzeczpospolita] ag/
