Gender Identity Disorder.

Lynda Sheridan.
In the Republic of Ireland, in the High Court 0n 20th. October 2007,
Lydia foy was successful in Her case against the Irish Goverment for
people born with GID. to have their post-op and diagnosed gender on their
birth certificates.
Justice Mc.Ketchni gave the Goverment 21 days to come up with their submission
to change the law to enact same to give us this basic human right.
This case was in 2004 sent back by the supreme court to the high court,
as it was deemed to be not the right decision after Britin lost same case in Europe.
Then on the 20th Oct. 2007 the case aginst the State was in Lydia foy and people
born with GID. favour.
Now it is 2008 and there has nothing being done by the Irish Goverment to right
this terrible abuse of our basic human rights as males or females.
Now it has emerged that the Goverment is appealing the case back to the Suoreme Court, this has caused much hurt to us all in the GID. community.
I have people say they are going on hunger strike outside the DAIL in Dublin
over this awful abuse of us by the Irish State.
The Republic of Ireland is the only Country in the European Union not to
change the law to allow our birth certificate change.
They are breaking the law in the face of Europe without a care in their hearts
for us.
They are incompatable with European law.
They pay for our diagnoses treatments and gender reasignment surgery,
Give us passports in our adopted gender, medical cards tax records driving
linances, every other legal document except our birth certs.
I personally have being loaded by 75% on a life insurance police because
the company says that my birth cert states male regardless of surgery.
I cannot marry a man or a woman as a woman.
If same gender marriages comes into being before we get our birth certs,
we will be further discriminated against, and will be deemed by society as
simply a fethis and not a male or female.
I am going to organise a protest outside the DAIL in the next few Weeks,
we need help with posters and funds for same and also people to come and
support us with a physical presence.
Please enter my details for people who might wist to contact me.
