On 1 December 2003 – the World day for struggle against AIDS the Bulgarian Gay Organization GEMINI organizes:

1. Discussions on sexual education in high schools in Sofia: • The discussions will be moderated by professional psychologists as Madlen Algafari, Mihail Okoliiski, Ani Vladimirova and Rumen Bostandjiev. The discussions will be held in one of the 12 grades in the high schools. Condoms, red ribbons and brochures on safe sexual behavior will be spread during the discussion. Two discussions will take place on 01st of December in 1st English Language High school and 22nd High school in Sofia.

2. Oxford debate from 15:00 in Red House Center for Culture and Debate

• The topic of the debate is “Do we need sexual education in the high school?” It aims at promoting consequent actions to provide formal or informal sexual education classes in the high schools. The deputy minister of the Ministry of Education and Sciences, representatives of the Youth Parliament, popular public people close to the heart of the youngsters are invited to take part of the debate.

3. Exhibition at 18:00 in Red House Center for Culture and Debate

• On the occasion of 1st of December Gemini announced competition for paintings and photography. All collected pieces of arts will be presented during an exhibition. Qualified hanging-committee will select the best piece of art which will be printed on a free card in 10 000 pieces and distributed in Bulgaria.
