Sida works is to improve the standard of living of poor people and, in the long term, to eradicate poverty. They already supported a few projects on LGBT issues and currently work in following countries: Division for Southeast Europe, SEE, is working with the Balkans: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo and Croatia and - to a small extent - with Romania and Bulgaria. Division for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, EECA, is working with the countries of the former Soviet Union, i.e. Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Southern Caucasia - mainly Georgia - and Central Asia - mainly Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
