<p>In this section you will find information on various issues you need to know to take full advantage of the Year 2007.</p>

<p>Activities during the 2007 Year will be organised around <b>four key themes:</b> </p>

<p>It is important to understand how activities at the national level will be defined, funded and implemented because this will have an impact on what we can expect to achieve during this European Year of Equal Opportunities. </p>

<p>Activities carried out during the Year 2007 will be divided into two categories: </p>

<p>The total budget for the Year 2007 is of EUR 15 million. The budget for national, local and regional activities is of EUR 7.6 million. </p>

<p>The 2007 Year will be opened to Member States but also to accession countries and countries from the Western Balkans (Article 11). </p>
