The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has just published ‘Extending Equality: trade union actions to organize promote equal rights, respect and dignity for workers regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity’.

More LGBT Groups Gain Consultative Status with UN

The decision by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) granting consultative status to two groups that work on sexual orientation and gender identity is a victory in the ongoing struggle for inclusion at the UN, a coalition of six human rights organizations said on 23 July 2008.

Discrimination in the European Union: Perceptions, Experiences and Attitudes

The latest Special Eurobarometer 296 was published in July 2008 and examines perceptions experiences and attitudes surrounding discrimination in the EU on the grounds of ethnic origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion, gender, as well as multiple discrimination.
